It was the end of a school day. We were all saying goodbye to our friends. I packed my belongings and headed out the door. My exit was blocked by this boy who was not in my class standing in the doorway. I asked him for an excuse and he said I couldn’t pass until I gave him a hug. I refused and he suddenly grabbed me and pulled me in for a hug and whispered in my ear “Just because you are Muslim, you will die first from Covid.”
